On 28 July 2008 was announced, that in December 2008 the experts of the Project and Programme Support Service of the Quality Management Department of IDGC of Centre, JSC  will act a lecturers at the third international conference Project management - 2008 which is the largest event of 2008 in the field of project management in Russia.

The conference programme covers a wide span of project management issues with the account of various business activities, levels of the project maturity of the companies. Traditionally the conference will present  practical information for construction of an effective business and making of strategic decisions,  the latest tendencies in the field of project management in Russia and abroad, and innovative programme workings out. The programme also includes thematic practical cases and open interactive discussions.

Experts of IDGC of Centre, JSC  will present experience on use of the newest exclusive technologies in project management and increase of efficiency of design activity with application of innovative approaches.

Today IDGC of Centre, JSC  is one of the few companies of power industry in which the matrix control system is being implemented. Therefore, it is  extremely important for the company's experts to learn experience of other enterprises, but demonstration of own developments in the field of project management is no less important.

The strategic project office functions now in IDGC of Centre, JSC , the portfolio of projects and programmes is being performed from more than  50 positions. The purposes of projects and programmes concern developments of additional services, development of communications with clients, reengineering of business processes, introduction of innovative technologies etc.

In IDGC of Centre, JSC  such innovative projects as introduction of  ARIS PPM toolkit for controlling and efficient management of business processes are already being performed. About one year ago the project on development and introduction of the Quality Management System in IDGC of Centre, JSC  was successfully performed, and the company became the first interregional distribution grid  company that  received the Certificate of QMS Conformity to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 international standard with the account of the requirements of  ISO 10006:2003 standard Guidelines on quality management and project performance. IDGC of Centre, JSC  has successfully passed the certified audit on the level of conformity to the second  degree of  technological maturity in the field of project management according to the requirements of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). It is necessary to note that certification on the level of technological maturity in the field of project management is the first in Russia and  second in the world.

Since 2006 IDGC of Centre, JSC is a corporate member of the Russian Project Management Association SOVNET that is part of the International Project Management Association Ї IPMA (Zurich, Switzerland).

Project management implementation is in full swing  in subsidiaries and preparation for  certification of IDGC of Centre as a uniform operational company on degree of conformity to the third level of  technological maturity in the field of project management according to the requirements of the IPMA. According to the IPMA over 50  IDGC of Centre, JSC employees has been trained and about 20 employees certified.  Experts of the Projects and Programme Support Service with the assistance of "Sciener" ltd experts hold exit seminars on project management in IDGC of Centre, JSC subsidiaries in which about 200 employees of the subsidiaries took part.

For the purpose of development, distribution and development of project management and delivery of success, efficiency and productivity of the performed projects, IPMA annually holds IPMA Award competition and awards  IPMA international award and also awards for excellent results in project management to those project teams that managed to prove their outstanding achievements in project management. IDGC of Centre, JSC project also participates in IPMA Award Ї 2008 and it already successfully passed a number of selection stages of the competition. In the middle of August 2008 six international assessors from different parts of Europe will visit IDGC of Centre, JSC. The results of the competition will be summed up at the 22nd IPMA International Congress in Rome.

Performance of a portfolio of projects and programmes is one of the necessary conditions of integration of IDGC of Centre, JSC  in the world community on project management. Implementation of the matrix management system allows IDGC of Centre, JSC  to raise management system effectiveness,  provide investment appeal and business transparency.
