OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2008. In January-June 2008, budget revenue of the Gomel oblast totaled Br1.1 trillion (55% of the annual forecast), up 10.9% on the same point last year.

According to her, in H1 2008, the Gomel oblast budget sees successful performance. For the six months, income tax return to the local budget reached Br219.1 billion, 62.2% of the forecast. Income tax return grew 89.9%, or Br103.7 billion, over the same period last year.

As for land and real estate tax, the H1 2008 plan was fulfilled at 65.6% and 53.7% respectively.

In the first half of the year, uncompensated receipts from the national budget to the Gomel oblast budget made up Br1.6 trillion.

Extra funds will be put in the social area development, capital investment and the agriculture industry of the region. The oblast budget performance will be considered at a session of the Gomel oblast executive committee.
