OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 July 2008 OMZ OJSC (RTS: OMZZ; LSE: OMZD; OTC: UHMVY) announced that OMZ Oil and Gas Projects (Izhorskiye Zavody), a part of OMZ Group, has completed a contract with Ufa NPZ OJSC for the production and supply of two hydraulic cleaning reactors for the removal of vacuum gas oil.

The contract for the equipment was concluded in early 2007. The value of the contract is RUR160 million. Each reactor is 240 tons in weight. The units were produced at OMZ Izhora industrial site facilities.

Hydraulic cleaning is used to remove organic sulphides as well as nitrous and oxygen compounds from hydrocarbon raw material. As a result, the quality of petroleum products is enhanced, while corrosion and atmospheric pollution are reduced.
