OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 July 2008 was announced, that a new school No 1176 in the 3rd housing estate of Shcherbinka township in southwest Moscow is scheduled to open on September 1, 2008.

Nikolay Anzhin, section foremaster of Energostroykom, told a journalist of Construction World that the new school would welcome the children who had learnt at a nearby dilapidated school before. “The old school had the capacity of 130 children. Besides, the teaching staff will change the school together with the students,” Mr Anzhin said.

All the construction work has been already completed. Only the finishing work is being carried out inside the building.

The new school is designed for 880 students. Besides 130 students from the old school, 200 more children living in Shcherbinka have already signed up for learning at a new educational facility.

The section foremaster assured that the school would be commissioned by September 1. “It is much credit to us to have the school commissioned by the start of the school year,” Mr Anzhin added.
