OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2008. The document sets the main principles of currency regulation, rights and obligations of residents and non-residents in currency sphere, as well as powers of currency control bodies.

The Law in particular states, that entering Moldova physical entities residents and physical entities non-residents are entitled to bring national and foreign currency in cash and road xheques in foreign currency without restrictions.

Leqaving Moldova it is allowed to take national and foreign currency in cask and road cheques not exceeding 10 K euro (or equivalent) per person without providing customs bodies with the confirming documents.

To export from Moldova cash in national or foreign currency for the sum over 10 K euro (or equivalent) not exceeding 50 K euro per person, it is necessary to provide the customs bodies with the confirming documents: customs documents confirming import of funds in Moldova and\or permission for export of funds from Moldova issued by the licensed banks or the National Bank.
