OREANDA-NEWS.  On 23 July 2008 was announced, that an ecological park-and-ride facility with the total area of 3,000 sq m is to be constructed near Vodny Stadion subway station, north Moscow, by the end of summer 2008.

The parking spaces in the eco car park are equipped with the special polymeric lawn grids which enable to preserve a grass cover.

“The eco park-and-ride facility is to be located on the lawns along Kronshtadsky Boulevard and intended for parking private vehicles,” a press service of the prefecture of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to it, the eco car park will make the transportation hub near Vodny Stadion subway station less busy.

The equipment of one parking space in the eco car park costs roughly \\$108 per a square metre with the assumption that its total area is 15,000 sq m. The use of a parking space costs around \\$17 per month.

This eco car park near the subway station will become the fifth one in the northern district of Moscow.

The other eco car park with the area of 1,000 sq m has recently started operating on Avangardnaya Street. It was specially created for service vehicles at the expense of the obtained funds.
