OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 July 2008 Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (‘MTS’ — NYSE: MBT), the largest mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS, announced that its consolidated subscriber base reached 86.94 million users on June 30, 2008.

During June 2008, MTS’ consolidated subscriber base increased by 0.64 million subscribers.
