OREANDA-NEWS. On July 18, 2008 JSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has summed up the results for the June and half of 2008, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.
 
In June, 2008 the airline carried 852,9 thous. passengers (including 8,7 thous. passengers on its charter flights) and performed 2 bln 454 mln passenger-kilometres. Passenger load factor amounted to 74,7%, and commercial load reached the 60,7% mark in June.
 
Compared to activities in 2007, June saw growth of the following performance indicators:  carriage of passengers increased by 13,7%, and passenger turnover increased by 11,8%. The amount of passenger carriage on international flights rose by 5,6%, while the amount of domestic flights increased by 28,8%. 
 
Over the first half of the year 2008, Aeroflot carried 4 mln. 385 thous. passengers and performed 12 bln 704 mln passenger-kilometres. Passenger load factor amounted to 68,5%, and commercial load reached the 54,5% mark.
 
As compared to the indicators in 2007, over the first half of the year there were the following increases in the indicators: passenger carriage volume rose by 16,2%, while passenger turnover rose by 11,3%.
