OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 July 2008 was announced, that a third administrative district will be created in Astana. This was made public during the meeting in the “Astana General Plan” department which was held with participation of Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov.

According to mayor (akim) of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov the President of Kazakhstan set a task to analyze the situation in the city and if need were to create a third district, Kazinform reports.”A third district is necessary for the city, it will be a new part of the city, the border of which will pass through the Essil river”, the mayor said.

K.Massimov said that the Head of the State supports this decision.
