OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2008. The systematic measures are continued according to the financial stability, durable development of bank system and ensuring of financial mediation, bank system’s restructuring is also being realized, reported the press-centre of NBA.

2 bank’s licenses working with the decision resolved in 2008, July 9 by Azerbaijan Republic’s National Bank’s managerial staff have been reversed.

License №169,  dated 04.12.1993 given to “Atlantbank” ASC by the decision resolved in 2008, July 9 by Azerbaijan Republic’s National Bank’s managerial staff for bank operations have been reversed according to the articles 16.1, 16.1.6, 16.1.9, and 16.1.18 of Azerbaijan Republic’s Law about banks because of minimum sum doesn’t suite to capital demand, it breaks bank legislation, it doesn’t realize management and current activity in prudential way, and also it doesn’t observe National Bank’s systematic demands and instructions.

In 2008, July 10 with the same decision there was set a provisional administrator for “Atlantbank”ASC. A provisional administrator will work in the address where situates National Bank. (Baku, Z.Khalilov 43).

With the Azerbaijan Republic’s National Bank’s managerial staff’s decision mentioned above the license №46, dated 03.12.1992 given to “Postbank” SIB by Azerbaijan Republic’s Law about banks for bank operations have been reversed according to the articles 16.1, 16.1.6, 16.1.9, and 16.1.18, because it breaks bank legislation and it have lost repayment ability. There was resolved a decision about the “Postbank” SIB’s beginning of bankruptcy procedure.
