OREANDA-NEWS. On July 16, 2008 The Antonov Aviation Scientific Technical Complex completed re-equipment of the first regional passenger plane of the new generation AN-148-100 for handing it over to the Ukrainian customer - the State Leasing Company LizingTekhTrans, the Antonov press service informed.

The aircraft will undergo a series of on-land, flight-design and acceptance testing, during which all the on-board systems of the liner will be tested in the exploitation regime.

A serial production of engines Д-436-148 for the AN-148 has been arranged, OJSC Motor-Sich President Viacheslav Bohyslayev emphasized.

The AN-148 is a regional jetliner of the new generation created by the Antonov Complex in cooperation with over 240 enterprises from 14 countries. The basic variant of the plane (up to 85 seats) has undergone a wide testing program and on February 28, 2007, it received certificates issued by the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee and the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine.

Till the present time, contracts were signed for supply of over 50 planes of the AN-148 type with the companies of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Serial production of AN-148 has been arranged in Ukraine at the state-run Kyiv Aviation Plant Aviant and in Russia at the OJSC Voronezh Joint Stock Aircraft-Building Society.
