OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2008.  The preparation for building of the highway "Vladivostok – Nakhodka – Port Vostochniy" new section is being carried out in Primorye. The work on the reconstruction and building of the road is stipulated by the Federal Purpose Program "Economic and Social Development of the Far East and Zabaikalie till 2013" and by the Territory Program "Territory Roads". The work is to be started at the null kilometer at the entrance to Artyem from the highway "Vladivostok – Nakhodka"; the section will extend to the 63rd kilometer of the highway. The new road will stretch along the Ussuriisk Bay coast by-passing Artyem, Shtykovo, Smolyaninovo, Romanovka, and Tzaryevka. In early July the bid on the project development of the road section 19- 41km was held and the Khabarovsk Branch of OJSC "GidrodorSRI" won it. In the nearest future the contract on design and survey works will be concluded with the company. According to the experts, the building of the highway is to provide steady high-speed traffic that can reduce the time of cargo and passengers’ transportation. Bypass road can improve the ecological situation in this district as it will stretch far from centers of population. The construction works are to be started in 2010.
