OREANDA-NEWS. On July 15, 2008 at Vyborg Shipyard JSC the first pontoon of the multi-purpose semi-submersible drilling rig (SSDR) being under construction upon the order of the company SEA HORSE VENTURES for the company SEA DRAGON was launched. The launch of the second pontoon and start of the works on assembling the rig afloat is planned on July, 2008.

In March 2007 Vyborg Shipyard JSC and SHV signed the contract for construction of the bare deck platform of MOSS SC-50 project. Later on upon the Customer’s proposal the scope of works in the part of fabrication of drill floor and some constructions of the topsides has been increased. At present the possibility of fabrication of SSDR topsides by efforts of VSY is under consideration.
