OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 July 2008 was announced, that an agreement on establishment of Sun Microsystems IT laboratory was sighed in the State Engineering University of Armenia between Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and SEUA – in the person of RA Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Nerses Yeritsyan and University Rector Vostanik Marukhyan.

Under the program of "Creation of progressive educational and technological centres in Armenia", the laboratory of Sun Microsystems company will be opened at the State Engineering University of Armenia.

The program "Creation of progressive educational and technological centres in Armenia" being implemented by Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) in collaboration with the Armenian Economy Ministry, USAID, State Engineering University of Armenia and assistance of "Sun Microsystems" Inc. will establish Sun Microsystems lab with necessary equipment, aimed at improvement the quality of IT education, establishment of up-to-date technical and technological means, training and re-training both the students and their teachers of the University and other higher educational establishments of Armenia, specialists working in IT sphere, and also organization of Sun certification courses.

According to the agreement, the territory separated for lab by the University must be repaired and provided by the necessary equipment. To maintain a high level of educational courses, besides the State Creation of progressive educational and technological centres in Armenia" program.

The State Engineering University of Armenia and Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) will collaborate to develop in future other programs of mutual interest.
