OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 July 2008 was announced, that RF Prime Minister V.V. Putin promised state support for Sevmash.

Conference “Development of RF oil and gas complex” took place in Severodvinsk on Friday. Ministers of economical development E.S Nabibulina, natural resources and ecology Y.P. Trutnev, power engineering S.I. Shmatko, heads of federal Agencies on tariffs S.G. Novikov, on financial markets V.D. Milovidov, president of ОАО “Gazprom” A.B. Miller, presidents of ОАО “Lukojl” V.Y. Alekperov, ОАО “NK “Rosneft” S.M. Bogdanchikov, ОАО “Surgutneftegaz” L.V. Bogdanov and other representatives of oil and gas industry came to take part in conference as well as to get acquainted with “Prirazlomnaya” building (meant for oil production at Prirazlomnoye oil field in Barents Sea).

Putin visited Sevmash for the third time. This time he examined quay No.3, where there are two platforms: offshore ice-resistant fixed platform “Prirazlomnaya” and offshore semi-submerged platform MОSS. The whole history of platforms building and stages of Sevmash development were presented on prepared stands. Within ten minutes Sevmash Director General N. Kalistratov arranged brief review.

”Sevmash is unique not only for Arkhangelsk region but for the whole country, - mentioned V.V. Putin during meeting with Arkhangelsk region governor I.F. Mikhalchuk – I have just talked to workers. Average salary comes to 17 thousand rubles. Of course it is not a great sum for this region and this enterprise. But we understand that salary level depends on efficiency of enterprise activity. We shall admit that during the previous years its work could not be considered efficient – both economically and financially. Recently we have taken additional decisions regarding enterprise support. No doubt enterprise needs this support. It is very important for military sector and for Naval Fleet”. At the end prime Minister named four principal positions:

The first one. Government reduced, restructured enterprise arrears before state social funds. The second one. Credit for 6 billions will be made with state support of per cents payments, i.e. some payments will be paid by state. The third position. State agreed with increase of great products cost, mainly in military field. And the last one. State military order for enterprise is increased.

”I hope that all these measures as well as several other measures results in changing financial and economic state of enterprise, - noticed V.V. Putin. – If it is necessary we are ready to consider additional measures which can influence on salary level”.
