OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2008. OJSC “Company “M.video” (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain’s new hypermarket in Yekaterinburg.

The new store accounts to almost 3000 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products. The pre-opening costs amounted 55 million roubles.

M.video group opened its first hypermarket in Yekaterinburg in May 2002. Up to date the company operates 5 stores in the city (including one 24x7 stores).

M.video anticipates the opening of at least two more new hypermarkets in Yekaterinburg in 2009.

The company confirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
