OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2008. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of Bulgaria has examined the conceptual project of Belene Nuclear Power Plant, to be carried out by Atomstroyexport CSJC, and has granted the National Electric Company of Bulgaria an official permission to build the plant.

On July 10 2008 NEC and Atomstroyexport signed a protocol empowering Atomstroyexport to build Belene NPP.

Hence, the parties have taken an important step towards the implementation of the project.
