First OKKO River Fuel Station Put in Operation
OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 July 2008 was announced, that in Kyiv on Zhukiv Island (the territory of the recreational-sanitary center “Green Port”) the first river fuel station “Pulse-1” was put in operation. The station will serve small-format ships: yachts, motor boats, quad bikes, scooters, and other fuel-efficient water crafts. This is the fist fuel station of the leading project of the OKKO net, the next one – “Pulse-2”, will be soon put in operation in New Kakhovka, on the territory of yacht-club “Maxim-marine”. The river fuel station is equipped with DresserWayne two-front petrol filling pump with two pistols at each side. A-95 petrol (Euro 4 Standard) and diesel petrol will be realized at the “Pulse” fuel station.
Development and production of the “Pulse” fuel station was made by the “Ligir-ITBS” company, design and dressing was performed by the “Ligir-ITBS” and specialists of the “Concern Galnaftogaz”.
Roman Chuiko, the director of Kyiv branch of the “Concern Galnaftogaz”, says: “It is not a secret, that small-sized ships in Ukraine are fueled mainly from a “fuel can”. We should not even speak about safety of such a fuelling, and the way it influences ecology. Concerning the “Pulse” fuel station, our designers together with the “Ligira” specialists worked much to bring the exterior and interior of the river petrol station to conformity with the OKKO standards. The project is leading, and now we are working at bringing the service standards at river fuel stations to conformity as well, at providing accompanying goods and services, just as at OKKO fuel stations. Moreover, we are working at making the system of cash and noncash payments function at river fuel stations (OKKO-card, stubs)”.
