PAVA Increases Sales of Consumer-Size Products by 2%
OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 July 2008 was announced, that The Altay grain-processor PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru) summarized the results of consumer-size products sales after 6 months of the current year. Independent experts note that 2008 was a very difficult year for grain processors because of the volatility on the flour market. Nevertheless, PAVA increased its sales of consumer-size products by 2%.
The three leaders where the company shipped its consumer-size products included the Samara region, the Tatarstan republic and the Saratov region. During the 1st half-year, the Samara region which is a traditional leader, received about 2,500 tonnes of consumer-size products from PAVA.
Specialists of the largest grain-processor of Siberia and the Far East called June “the month of returning regions”. After a certain break, the company resumed shipments to the Tomsk and Omsk regions, the Yamalo-Nenets and the Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous Districts.
This year, consumer-size products under the Altay-Batyushka® brand were shipped to Kamchatka.
According to the new marketing strategy, OJSC PAVA develops the market of Moscow and the Moscow region with the help of its partners in Tver and Tatarstan. Because of that, the Altay grain processor increased the sales of consumer-size PAVA products. “I’d give a positive estimate to the previous half-year. At first sight, 2% growth of consumer-size products may seem insignificant, but for such a challenging market it is a very good result. Besides, resuming shipments to highly competitive regions can be considered a landmark to a certain extent – our new promotional strategy pays off,” – commented Angela Kiseleva, OJSC PAVA Commercial Director.
