OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2008. Sergey Chemezov, Director General of State Corporation “Russian Technologies” is elected Chairman of KAMAZ Board of Directors.

It should be recalled that the Annual KAMAZ Shareholders’ Meeting on the results of 2007 was held not long ago. The shareholders elected members of KAMAZ Board of Directors. Chemezov’s candidature for the post of Chairman of Board of Directors was endorsed by the RF government.

Throughout the last seven years Sergey Chemezov has been a member of KAMAZ Board of Directors. This year he had every reason to head the Board having succeeded Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Industry and Commerce. Chemezov was elected on the threshold of the RF President’s executive order “About property contribution” of Russia to the capital of “Russian Technologies”, in the present case – 37.8% of shares of the auto manufacturer which belong to the state.
