OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 July 2008 was announced, that Astana served to renewal of the state elite, laid foundation to the formation of a new class of government officials able to realize the importance of tasks set before our country, master new government principles necessary for the market economy, professional public service, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said during the celebratory activities devoted to Astana’s 10th jubilee today.

The transfer of the public service to Astana is not just an alternation of generations of public officers, but creation of environment for decision making on rapid modernization of the state, Mr. Nazarbayev said.

The Kazakh leader emphasized that the capital’s shift concurred with the adoption of a long-term strategic plan of Kazakhstan’s development by 2030.
