OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 July 2008 was announced, that the Board of Director of JSC Gazprom Neft elected Alexei Miller, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Gazprom, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Alexei Miller said: "JSC Gazprom considers the oil business as one of its core activities and, respectively, the task of Gazprom Neft is to become the industry leader and a major international player. The management of the company and the Board of Directors will do our best to achieve the set goals."
