On 10 July 2008 was announced, that MVK held the official closing ceremony of the exhibition year. “It is easy to be the first in the exhibition business if the professional team takes the matter up” was the main message of the reports made at the ceremony by MVK International Exhibition Company. President of MVK International Exhibition Company Andrei Lapshin personally and Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors Aleksei Shaburov on the phone congratulated the staff of the company with the successful results of the year. During the first six months of 2008 MVK held 53 exhibitions with 4 000 exhibitors and 30 000 visitors coming. The word combination “for the first time” was often applied to the description of the projects the company launched last year. It was for the first time that Stroytech was organized at the Crocus Expo and Sokolniki exhibition centres. Geoform+ and A-TESTex for the first time moved to the new exhibition grounds. The record in the number of visitors was broken at Cabex and in the number of exhibitors - at Fasttec. The shows Holzhaus, VTE, Rehatech, Rehamedexpo, Medprojectexpo and Educational Forum were also successful. And the brand exhibitions Euroexpofurniture, Interkomplekt and ROSUPAK showed the outrunning growth.

Andrei Lapshin thanked the Exhibition Managements and all the companies entering the holding: MVK-Media, MVK-Travel, MVK-Transexpo, MVK-Techservice, MVK-Design and the exhibition portal All-Expo for support of the exhibition projects. The regional subsidiaries of MVK International Exhibition Company: MVK-Ural, MVK-Volga, MVK-Siberia, MVK-South, MVK LTD, MVK Turkiye, MVK Messen GmbH, MVK-ISRA Exhibitions Ltd, MVK China performed successfully last year. A new company’s subdivision, MVK-Mobile, in short time gained leadership in mounting the mobile exhibition booths.

The company plans to launch its subsidiaries in India, Italy and Slovenia and hold the unprecedented International Calligraphic Exhibition.

A new exhibition season will be opened in August. On August 15-24 Sokolniki exhibition centre will welcome the main equestrian exhibition in Russia, Equiros 2008.
