OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2008. The interest rates on deposits of individuals increased on 1% in UAH and on 0,5% in foreign currency. According to Oksana Baskakova, the Head of passive operations of retail business management of OJSC "RODOVID BANK", the one of main reasons of rates increase is the high level of inflation in the country and shortfall of UAH resources at the banks. "Above-mentioned affect on interest rates forming on deposits of individuals. And since the beginning of 2007 the rates were increased on 2% – 4%", - Oksana Baskakova told.
