OREANDA-NEWS. On July 08, 2008 as NBM informed, as of June 2008, currency reserves of NBM amounted to \\$1 billion 518,59 million, increasing by \\$44,64 million (3%) as compared to the last week.

NBM currency reserves exceeded historic boundary of \\$1 million in late August 2007.

According to NBM, as of late December 2007, NBM currency reserves totalled \\$1 billion 333,68 million and as of late I quarter 2008 - \\$1 billion 424,29 million , increasing by \\$90,61 million (6,8%) since the beginning of the year.

By late 2008, the government of Moldova plans to increase currency reserves up to \\$1,7 billion.
