OREANDA-NEWS. July 9, 2008. Being in the core of its philosophy, VivaCell continues on implementing its large-scale CSR programs having long-term positive impact on the living conditions of people in the regions of Armenia.

Based on the evaluation of needs in the area of regional infrastructure, VivaCell decided to allocate funds for the installation of a local heating and hot water supply system in Medzamor Medical Complex in Armavir marz, a huge medical facility providing general and narrow specialty care to the population in Medzamor and nearby regions. The Medical Complex includes Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, Surgery Department, Therapeutic Department, Administrative Department, Children’s Somatic Department, cafeteria, laundry, and the Central Corpus. In total, the area occupied by the Medical Center makes 3,615 square meters. 

Medzamor Medical Complex has been suffering from the lack of heating and constant hot water supply. Taking into account the lack of means to obtain local heating and hot water supply system, a very crucial piece of infrastructure for such a vitally important institution such as Medical Complex in Medzamor, VivaCell extended its all-supporting hand to help the hospital solve this important problem.
 
Now, with a completely renovated system of local heating, the Medical Complex is experiencing a new beginning, ready to serve the population of the marz in comfortable conditions. Ralph Yirikian, VivaCell General Manager stated: “All regions of Armenia are in VivaCell scope of care, and we are working in that direction. The impact of our support will reach the residents of Armavir region and its neighborhood. As a socially-responsible business, we are committed to generating value for our society. And that’s why we allocate part of our revenues to help alleviate the social, environmental and health care problems that Armenia faces today.”

VivaCell social investment in the region of Armavir is not limited to installing local heating and hot water supply system in the Medical Complex. The company also provided AMD 58.5 million for the complete renovation of the rooftop of this Complex and also extended its support for installing heating system in 3 secondary schools and construction of a drinking water internal network in Zartonk village of Armavir marz.
