OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2008. Rafal Juszczak is expected to enter the office of the Chairman of the Bank Management Board within a two-month period after all the documents required for his employment in Ukraine including the permit of the National Bank of Ukraine are obtained. Before Mr. Juszczak enters the office, Alexandra Voropayeva will hold the office as an acting chairman of the FUIB Board, reported the press-centre of SCM.

Being the Bank major shareholder, SCM regards finance as one of its core business areas in the company’s investment portfolio and intends to make further active investments to develop its financial institutions and retain the best managers to supervise them.

“The planned appointment of Rafal Juszczak will help us make the Bank team considerably stronger, introduce the best Western practices required for the Bank further development and making FUIB one of leading banks in Ukraine”, said Ilya Arkhipov, Director of Business Development of SCM and member of the FUIB Board. “Until recently, Rafal Juszczak headed РКО ВР – the largest Polish bank – and has a solid expertise in banking assets management in the environment of quickly growing banking service market. The approved FUIB development strategy provides for the long-term growth of the Bank value and sets the goal for the Bank to gain and retain the leading position in the Ukrainian banking service market. The main focus will be on the customer service quality enhancement, product range enlargement and the Bank branch network extension, resulting in the increased efficiency and competitiveness of the Bank.
