OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 July 2008 was announced, that in Novosibirsk a joint Minsky motor-car factory and GAZ Group marketing action aimed at the promotion of the new MAZ products was over. Truck tractor MAZ-5440A9 is the first MAZ car with YaMZ-650 that will be produced and sold on the Russian market.

The new truck heading the column of 4 MAZ cars with YaMZ engines covered the distance of 5,000 km from Belarus to Siberia.

During the press conference the MAZ and GAZ Group representatives announced about the beginning of sales of the truck in June-July 2008.

Truck tractor MAZ-5440A9 (axle arrangement 4x2) is meant for international and long-distance commercial transportations. Among its users there are transport and trade companies, industrial enterprises, building companies. It is offered with a tri-axle semitrailer and technically permissible total mass of 44 tones.

The truck is powered by the new GAZ Group diesel engine YaMZ-650. The engine production under Renault Truck license began in 2007 on the production space of GAZ Group motor-car factory “Avtodiesel” in Tutaev in Yaroslavsky region.
