OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 July 2008 was announced, that Astana akim (governor) Imangali Tasmaganbetov has reported to the Head of the State on the course of fulfillment of the instructions set by President at the March session on Astana’s development.

N. Nazarbayev noted that the Government and Astana akimat could mobilize all necessary resources for completion of construction of a number of objects, city landscaping, solution of the equity holdersТ problems and engagement of all the regions in preparation and holding festive events.

During the sitting Head of the State set a number of certain tasks on the Government and akimat on AstanaТs development. The countryТs main city is to host such large international events as the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions, the OSCE forum and Winter Asian Games.
