OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 July 2008 was announced, that еhe leader of the Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the opening ceremony of construction of presidential park of the second turn in Astana, the Kazakhstan Today agency reports.

In the interview to journalists the leader of the state noted that total area of the park is 83 hectares. "It is a big territory. Such park, in the post Soviet space, exists only in Kazakhstan ," he said. "It will be the finest, favorite vacation spot for all citizens of the capital," the President emphasized.

The presidential park is located near the Palace of Peace and Concord and Akorda residence. There are five fountain complexes - Bird Samruk, Lower Square, Big Cascade, Grotto, Lake - spring and eight artificial ponds and channels in the park. Central part of the park has been constructed for solemn events with participation of many people with a parking for 1 thousand cars.
