Raiffeisen Acts as Financing Partner for NACCO in CEE
OREANDA-NEWS. On July 07, 2008 Raiffeisen-Leasing International GmbH (RLI), the holding company of the Raiffeisen leasing network in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), recently signed a cooperation agreement with NACCO Materials Handling Limited (NMHL), one of the world’s market leaders in lift truck manufacturing, reported the press-centre of Raiffeisen.
The agreement covers an international vendor finance cooperation in the CEE region. RLI was appointed following a tender procedure and chosen due to its broad coverage and expertise of the leasing business in the CEE market.
Vendor finance has become increasingly popular in CEE due to the advantageous structure for both suppliers and their clients. Based on the signed agreement, NMHL's customers will benefit from a broad range of financing products provided by RLI. NMHL will receive support to grow their business through their sales channels in the CEE region.
RLI will finance handling equipment (forklifts) provided by NMHL and will operate in a co-branded manner in each market under the banner of NMHL's brands.
"This cooperation is a big success for Raiffeisen-Leasing International. The deal will further support our position as the leading international provider of leasing services in CEE. Furthermore, we expect substantial business volumes from the cooperation once it is fully in place in all countries", said Martin Lagler, International Vendor Finance Manager at RLI.
"We were looking for a partner supporting us across the CEE-region and are confident that this cooperation will enable us to succeed with our products and programmes. Having branches in all the important business centres RLI can provide us with exactly the local support and know-how we need", David McIntyre, Business Services Manager at NMHL, added.
