OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 July 2008 was announced, that during the First Investment Voronezh Forum which took place in Voronezh (Russian Federation) two contracts on delivery of Ukrainian-Russian AN-148 regional passenger aircraft of a new generation were signed.

The agreement between United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) JSC and Ilushin Finance Co. (IFC) leasing company became the first of them. According to that document IFC will purchase at UAC 34 aircraft of AN-148 family during 2008-2011 in order to pass them for leasing to airlines-customers. It also expresses readiness to purchase additionally 30 aircraft of the family during 2011-2012. From the UAC’s side the document was signed by A.I. Fedorov, the President of Corporation, from the IFC’s side – by A.I.Rubtsov, Director General.

Besides, IFC and Moscovia Airlines JSC signed the agreement according to which the airlines will purchase at the IFC 10 AN-148E on terms of financial leasing during 2009-2012, 5 such airplanes are included in the agreement as option.

The total amount of the concluded agreements exceeds USD 1 milliard 800 millions. 214 enterprises of 14 countries are involved in production of all 79 ordered airplanes. The final assembly of the aircraft will be performed by Voronezh Aircraft Building JSC from the aggregates manufactured both in Voronezh and at Aviant Kiev state aviation plant. 34 Ukrainian enterprises are engaged in the program of AN-148 serial production. Their total profit on these aircraft production is estimated as much as USD 820 millions, the Ukrainian state and local budget will receive USD 241 million and about 11000 new working places will be created.

     As Mr. Aleksandr Rubtsov said: “Production of AN-148 Russian-Ukrainian aircraft becomes the key one for Voronezh aviation plan because the airplane is much requested by Russian and foreign airlines. Till present, Ilushin Finance Company as the main customer and supplier of the Russian-made aircraft on terms of leasing has signed a number of firm contracts with airlines on delivery of more than 40 AN-148s”.
