OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2008. The Neman Pulp-and-Paper Mill produced 20.5 thousand tones of cellulose in January-June, 30.8 thousand tones of high-quality ecologically clean papers (offset, greaseproof and waterproof wrapping paper, fluting paper, wallpaper base), and 29.6 thousand tones of lignosulfonates. These figures are as much as 1-2 % more than the production output for the same period of 2007.

The production output of the office paper has significantly increased by 50 % at NPPM. "E.C.H. Will" and "Bielomatik" lines have produced 4.5 million of reams of 500 sheets for the last 6 months. We produced almost 22 million of exercise-books, and 187 thousand of drawing albums and folders.

The Kamennogorsk Offset Paper Mill produced 9.3 thousand tones of papers in January-June (namely “Kamennogorka”, “Kamennogorka+” with the lowered basis weight, and base-paper for production of bindery material “Bumvinyl”), and 28.8 million of exercise-books, drawing albums and folders.

According to Rosstat the NWTC is one of the twenty largest manufacturers in the Russian pulp and paper industry. The North-West Timber Company is:
- 15-17th place in Russia in cellulose production,
- 8th place in Russia in paper production of all types,
- 3rd place in Russia in offset and office paper production,
- 1st place in Russia in exercise-book production.

The company produces 5 % of wallpaper base in the world market and 6 % of the greaseproof paper in the world market.
