Russian Post and STSI Implement Joint Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. Since 1st of July Russian Post and the departments of State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (STSI, MIA RF) began to implement the joint project on delivery notices of traffic offence fixed by special facilities operating automatically (videocameras), reported the press-centre of Russian Post.
The novelty is explained by the Regulations of the Federal Law оf 24th of June 2007 № 210-FL "Оf alterations to the RF Code of Laws of administrative violations" coming into effect on July, 1, 2008. According to the Regulation, photos made with special facilities operating automatically are considered as evidence of administrative traffic offences.
Post sends ordinances of penalty passed by STSI departments as registered items with notice of delivery to the owners of transport vehicles.
At first stage of the project video cameras fixing administrative offences are set in Moscow, Moscow region and Krasnodar territory.
For reference:
Registered letter with notice of delivery is called postal item when sender asks postal operator to inform him or denoted person of date and person whom the postal item was delivered to. If it’s impossible to deliver the letter to addressee, they are kept in post offices within one month. If addressee doesn’t come for postal item within 5 work days of the first notice delivery, he gets the second notice against receipt. Upon expiry date registered items that weren’t got by addressee post come back to return address.
Presently, Russian Post sends items of Court Bailiffs Service, Tax Service of RF, Pension Fund of RF and other state administrations.
