Salym Petroleum Set Up New Drilling Record
OREANDA-NEWS. July 02, 2008. On June 4, 2008 Salym Petroleum set a new drilling record of 6,3 days. The WS 1366-K27-11 well was successfully drilled by KCA Deutag Rig 3. The depth of the well is 2556 meters, reported the press-centre of Salym Petroleum.
Wells Manager Jan Snaas pointed out “I’d like to believe that in the Siberian region around us people find hard to believe that any well can be drilled at this pace. So I’m very happy with that performance and trust that our shareholders and people in the office will also join that in this feeling”.
A previous record of 6,7 days was achieved in August 2007 in Vadelyp.
