OREANDA-NEWS. July 3, 2008. In January-June, 2008, Murmansk Commercial Seaport handled 7.011.290 million tonnes (+2.32%, year-on-year), the port informs. In the first half of 2008, the port handled 103,304 wagons and 258 vessels.

In June, the port handled 936,531 tonnes of different cargoes (-31%, year-on-year).
Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC was set up in 1994. In terms of throughput, it is the forth largest port of Russia and the second largest port in the North West region. In 2007, the company’s throughput totaled 14.443.213 million tonnes.
