On 03 July 2008 was announced, that Michail Bocharnikov the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan visited the Bogatyr mine within the framework of fact-finding trip. The honored guest was accompanied with the Deputy General Director for Economics and Resources of "Bogatyr Аксес Комир" LLP Juri Kiselyov and the Chief Engineer of the mine Alexandr Lontkovsky.

The ambassador came up to an edge of the cut, and couldn’t help exclaiming: “Impressed!” Experts of the Company have told about a history of the mine and about today’s dynamically progressing coal-mining Company, about prospects of its further growth. The ambassador in the meantime asked questions, specified details. It was seen that the "Bogatyr" mine has surprised the guest by its scale.

- The purpose of my arrival is to familiarize with the mine about which I heard a lot and I know much enough, - Michail Nikolaevich has told in conclusion of the visit, - always it would be desirable to see with your own eyes. Especially, seeing that, you start to understand the range of works, and there through you realize the importance of the enterprise not only for economy of Kazakhstan, but also for Russia. I was present at signing of the agreement between "Rusal" and "Samruk" about setting-up of the joint company, and I think, that this very important event for our countries. All this also has induced me to arrive here.
