OREANDA-NEWS. July 3, 2008. Ph.D. degree was given to Chief Underwriter of OJSC “Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation" Alexander Milakhin. In 2004-2007 he studied in postgraduate school FSUE "Russian Center of Living Standards" where on May 16, 2007 the defend of a thesis was held. The thesis - "Economic foundation of risk optimization and settlement of damages in social insurance caused by industrial accidents" - almost directly relates to his everyday work.

The decision of issuing Ph.D. degree to Alexander was made by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation on January 25, 2008. Recently Alexander received the diploma.

For today one Doctor works in “Transsiberian Re”. Dr. Erica Machakova, barrister (lawyer) of Prague office “International Bureau” is one of the leading specialists in insurance law in Czech Republic. Besides six employees of “Transsiberian Re” have Ph.D. degree in economics. Two more employees are studying in postgraduate school at the moment one if them is graduating this year and is planning to defend a thesis.

For today the total amount of employees in five offices of “Transsiberian Re” is 42 excluding maintenance.
