OREANDA-NEWS. July 2, 2008. OJSC "Company "M.video" (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain's new hypermarket in St.Petersburg.

The new store accounts to almost 2300 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products.

M.video group opened its first hypermarket in St.Petersburg in February 2003. Up to date the company operates 14 stores in the city (including three 24x7 stores).

M.video anticipates the opening of at least two more new hypermarkets in St.Petersburg during next 2 years.

The company confirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
