OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 July 2008 was announced, that the opening ceremony of the reconstructed green-house –orchard complex with the only collection of tropical and subtropical plants took place in Botanical garden of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Science.

The representatives of the city of Vladivostok’s administration, as also directorate of JSC Far Eastern Energy Company – being the permanent partner of the Botanical garden, took part at the opening ceremony.

The unique collection of tropical and subtropical plants, come from South and Central America, Australia, Mediterranean, Africa, China and Japan is situated in the green-house complex with the total area of 450 square meters.

In recent years the orchard-house has rarely received the visitors as the construction needed the capital repair. JSC FEEC, that besides its main activity considers charity and social programs to be vital directions of its participation in life and development of the region, has undertaken solving of the unique complex’s problem. According to the Director General of JSC FEEC Victor MYASNIK, assistance in development of Botanical garden, all at once being the center of the cultural and scientific life of the city, is one of the main tasks to be decided in light of the projects of Vladivostok construction and development. This matter is especially vital in advance of hosting Summit APEC in Vladivostok.

It will be noted that it is not the first project of the Far Eastern Energy Company in cooperation with the directorate of the Botanical garden. In 2006 the pond with golden fish, being the most popular among visitors, was reconstructed out of the fund of JSC Far Eastern Energy Company. The representatives of JSC FEEC, taken part in the opening ceremony of the reconstructed orchard-house, persuaded all those present, that such fruitful cooperation will be continued.

The first visitors of the reconstructed orchard–house were children from the social rehabilitation center “Parus Nadezhdi”(Sail of hope), for whom the cognitive excursion was held by the skillful employees of the garden. The children got some memorable gifts from JSC FEEC.
