OREANDA-NEWS. On June 30, 2008 as it was informed in NBM, NBM currency reserves amounted to \\\\$ 1 billion 445,15 million.

As of late 2007, they totalled \\\\$ 1 billion 333,68 million. In 2007, NBM increased its currency reserves by 1,7 times.

As of late 2006, they made \\\\$ 775,29 million, and by the end of I half of 2007 - \\\\$ 878,52 million, respectively.

Historic boundary of \\\\$ 1 billion was exceeded in late August 2007. As of late 2008, the Government of Moldova plans to increase the currency reserves up to \\\\$ 1,7 billion.
