OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 June 2008 was announced, that JSC Acron President Ivan Antonov and Vice President for Mining Operations Sergey Fedorov visited Perm Krai recently to meet with Governor Oleg Chirkunov.

At the meeting the men discussed the terms of cooperation between Acron and Perm Krai on developing the Talitsk area at the Verkhnekamsk deposit of potassium and magnesium salts.

Mr Antonov stated that Acron and Verkhnekamsk Potash Company, LLC intend to open a representative office in Perm Krai. He also confirmed Acron’s interest in participating in the construction of the Belkomur railway.

Mr Antonov went on to say that, in order to promote the Talitsky project, Acron will consider proposals from local mining companies with regard toon joint development of the deposit. JSC Silvinit, Acron’s longstanding partner and strategic raw material supplier, may be given priority rights to participate in the project.
