Press Center of Nuclear Power Industry Wins Grand Gold Medal
OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2008. The Press Center of the Nuclear Power Industry has won the Grand Gold Medal of PEGAZ-2007 (Petroleum Energy Gas) International Journalistic Contest. The Press Center has also won two nominations: “Award for Editorial Staffs of Newspapers and Magazines” and “Award for Web Office/Its Employee.”
The awarding ceremony took place in the Central House of Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, on June 6 2008.
The contest had 12 nominations. It was organized by the All-Russian Public Academy of Energy Journalism with the support of a number of ministries and departments. 300 journalists from Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Belarus covering all sectors of the fuel and energy complex – fuel and gas production and transportation, coal production, energy production, nuclear power engineering — took part in the contest.
The Press Center presented the leading magazine of the nuclear power industry, Rosenergoatom. The magazine is issued in 6,000 copies and covers the activities of Rosenergoatom Concern, its nuclear power plants and workers, its innovative and social policies.
The web-site of Rosenergoatom Concern also took part in the contest. It is an open source of official information about the Concern and the whole nuclear power sector. It was not the first time that the web-site took part in such a contest.
