OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2008. Ukraine provided technical assistance to Belarus in view of the accident in Lukomlsk SDPS, Deputy Fuel and Energy Minister Volodymyr Luchnikov said.

"According to a technical agreement signed by network operators of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, we switched on a reserve line because of the accident," he noted.

According to Luchnikov, power exchanges are not commercial, that is why they are not taken into account as export, while they will be further returned by the Belarusian party.

In the morning June 25, Lukomlsk SDPS halted. It supplies over 40% of electric power exchanges produced in the country.
