Interpipe Will Standardize IT Infrastructure
OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 June 2008 was announced, that steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has completed one of the projects aimed at the standardization of the company’s IT structure.
The realization of the project enabled Interpipe to standardize the company’s IT structure in general and at every working desk in particular, to improve the reliability of IT-systems and ensure their immunity to unexpected bugs by the means of software update systems’ regulation and license management.
As part of the project, Microsoft software products under corporate licensing program Enterprise Agreement (EA) were supplied to Interpipe. Option Software Assurance (part of Enterprise Agreement) provides updates to Interpipe’s licensed software and as a result gives an opportunity to use its most updated versions.
According to Alexander Dvoryanenko, Interpipe’s Chief Information Officer:
“As a rapidly-growing dynamic, international company, Interpipe uses modern technologies in the field of information technologies. The application of licensed software is a fundamental principle for Interpipe. Furthermore, the single standardized IT platform will give Interpipe the opportunity to improve the transparency and efficiency of IT processes and will also enable the development of company’s IT infrastructure”.
