OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 June 2008 was announced, that  due to the request by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Aleksy the Second, the city authorities of Moscow ordered to erect the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God of the Burning Bush on the bottomland of the Chermyanka river at the intersection of Yurlovsky Proezd and Dezhnyova Proezd in northeast Moscow.

“The church is to be built on the site with the area of about 0.71 ha opposite the dwelling houses No 21 and 21A. A preproject documentation for the following designing and construction of the object will be elaborated in 2 years to come,” a source from Moscow City Hall said.

The church is to be put up at the expense of the private individuals’ funds.
