OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2008. The list was composed by International Social-Ecological Union and Independent Ecological Rating Agency within the framework of ecological ratings of the Russian regions. Let us recall that the above ratings were presented to public on the 06 June 2008, the Day of Environment.

“We are satisfied that our efforts in maximum decreasing adverse influence on the environment are not in vain. Today the emissions and discharges from KOPM meet the environmental standards. The boiler plant was transferred to natural gas, there were installed the system of gas-impulse boiler cleaners and the closed water loop, and local water treatment facilities. The old equipment was reconstructed according to modern technologies decreasing hazardous influence on the environment. The new production capacities are virtually clean. I mean exercise-book line and wastepaper-recycling department”, Engineer on environment protection Vera Osokina said.
