OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2008. JSC Gurievsk Metallurgical Plant (GMP, ESTAR Group) in the period from January to April 2008 produced 72,125 t of open-hearth steel, 4% more than in the same period previous year, reports a release of the ESTAR management company.

Besides, the plant produced 70,802 t of long products (a 3% increase) and 23,818 t of grinding steel balls (a 10% increase).

“Increasing the production volume of grinding steel balls has been a part of the plant’s development strategy approved at the end of previous year – the strategy is focused on expansion of the target market and quality improvement of grinding balls produced by the plant, " says the press-release.
