OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2008. S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, has announced the results of its activities for May 2008.

More than 500,000 passengers flew on S7 Airlines in May. This exceeds the figure for May 2007 by 18.3%. The increase in transport on domestic routes in May amounted to 35%.

In addition, S7 Airlines is actively expanding regular international flights. Fully 38.3% more passengers were transported on S7 Airlines regular international flights in the first five months of 2008 than during the same period of last year.

The increase in the number of aviation passengers was due to the opening of new regular flights from Moscow to Chisinau (Moldova), Dublin (Ireland), Tbilisi and Kutaisi (Georgia).
