Ernst&Young Highly Appreciated Work of Ruslans
OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 June 2008 was announced, that ANTONOV ASTC was visited by Mr. John Emery, manager of Ernst&Young company, the world leader in a consulting and audit sphere. The aim of the visit was discussing of audit of Ruslan International Ltd (Great Britain) and Ruslan SALIS GmbH (Germany) on the results of their activity in 2007 carried out by Ernst&Young specialists. John Emery said that their activity was recognized to be successful and fully corresponding with the legislation of Great Britain and Germany.
During the negotiations between Mr. Emery and direction of ANTONOV the ways of the further cooperation in the field of improvement of the administrative system of ASTC in order to achieve a world standards level were planned.
"Ruslan International" commercial-marketing company was organized by Antonov Airlines – the transport subdivision of ANTONOV ASTC and Volga Dnepr (Russia) group of companies in July, 2006. It is an enterprise responsible for sale and operation of the joint fleet of An-124 Ruslans which belong to two airlines. Head-quarter of "Ruslan International" is located in Stansted London airport.
After creation of the biggest in the world fleet of 17 such aircraft, "Ruslan International" reached the most effective use of An-124-100s due to flexible schedules of traffic and routes. The company often carries out the unique transportations of oversized and super heavy cargoes for customers from transport, building, cosmic, defensive and other industries.
Ruslan SALIS GmbH company represents the interests of ANTONOV ASTC and Volga Dnepr (Russia) group of companies within the limits of their participation in NATO SALIS (Strategic Airlift Interim Solution) programme. In accordance with the contract, signed with NAMSA, (NATO Maintenance and Support Agency)in January, 2006, NATO uses Ruslans of Antonov Airlines and Volga-Dnepr to perform strategic transportations in the interests of 18 countries-participants of the programme. According to this document, two An-124-100s aircraft are constantly based in Leipzig airport. Another 4 machines are being given on the request.
